Geonav Warranty Terms (Europe)
Geonav Limited Warranty
Subject to conditions and limitations of this Limited Warranty and applicable to products sold through Authorised Geonav Dealers, Geonav warrants this Product to be free from defects in design, materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from the original date of purchase ("Warranty Period").
The date of purchase is the date when the product is purchased by the first retail customer, or, in case of a new vessel, the date that the product is installed on the vessel by a Geonav Authorised Service Centre.
If a defective Product is returned during the warranty period, Geonav or the Authorised Service Centre will, in a reasonable time, repair or replace, at Geonav’s discretion, the product with a new or refurbished product in accordance with this Limited Warranty. Repair or replacement of the product will be the sole remedy for the customer under this Warranty.
Warranty Period
In the event that the Product package consists of several parts, the different parts of a system may be covered by different Warranty Periods. The Warranty Periods are:
a. Twenty-four (24) months for the Product itself;
b. Twelve (12) months for accessories other than parts and accessories listed in (c) and (d) below;
c. Six (6) months for batteries, chargers, brackets, headsets, cables, covers;
d. Three (3) months for the media on which the software or data is provided, i.e. CD-ROM, pen-drives, memory cards and any other digital mass storage device
Part(s) repaired or replaced during the Warranty Period will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or for ninety (90) days from the date of repair or replacement, whichever is longer.
Standard Warranty
To make a claim under this Limited Warranty, the Product or the affected part (if it is not the entire Product) may be returned to a Geonav Authorised Dealer or to a Geonav Authorised Service Centre within the Warranty Period and within thirty (30) days from the date of the reported Product failure. Any Product returned to Geonav from a Geonav Authorised Dealer or Authorised Service Centre must have a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number, and if returned by mail must be securely packaged and sent postage pre-paid to a Geonav Authorised Service Centre.
Geonav will cover the costs for repair or replacement of the Product, including parts and labour, subject to limitations and exclusions below, only if the repair or replacement is performed by a Geonav Authorised Service Centre.
Any Product returned, in person or by mail, must be accompanied by a legible copy of the original purchase receipt to be eligible for Standard Warranty Service. Geonav and its Authorised Service Centres reserve the right to charge a handling fee if after technical inspection the product is found to be not defective.
